Our own system

Modular balconies

Have the balconies of your building reached the end of their service life, or does your site need new balconies altogether? We design and build modular balconies with our own system.

New balconies

A modular balcony is built before it reaches the site

In a modular balcony the frame and the railing are made to measure in advance, and on site the modules are lifted into place. Installation is quicker and the disruption to residents stays smaller than when building in place.

The balconies can be open or glazed, and they are sized to the facade of the building. Imagination is the only limit: the size, the railing type and the colours are chosen to suit the site, at a competitive price.

Modular balconies suit your site when

  • the current balconies have reached the end of their service life
  • a new building needs balconies that can be installed quickly
  • you want to enlarge the balconies or add them to the facade
  • you want the installation to disturb residents as little as possible

Glazing and railings from the same supplier

The balconies can be delivered open or ready glazed. The balcony glazing and glass railings are designed at the same time, so the whole set stays consistent and one supplier carries the responsibility.

How does the project run?

We start with a site visit and a survey of the structures. After that we prepare a proposal and a quote, and once it is approved the modules are manufactured and installed to the agreed schedule.

Options

An open or a glazed balcony

The same module is delivered either open or ready glazed. The choice affects the usable season and the look of the facade.

Open balcony

An open balcony is light and the most affordable option. The railing can be made of glass, which keeps the view open and the facade light.

  • the quickest to deliver
  • a glass railing keeps the view open
  • glazing can be added later

Glazed balcony

A glazed balcony keeps off wind and rain and extends the season. The glazing is designed together with the module as a single set.

  • a longer season from spring to autumn
  • a cleaner balcony and less washing
  • a consistent look across the facade

Modular balcony questions

Answers to the questions that come up at the start of a balcony project.

What does a modular balcony mean?

In a modular balcony the frame and the railing are made to measure in advance, and on site the modules are lifted into place. Installation is quicker and the disruption to residents stays smaller than when building in place.

Can old balconies be replaced with new ones?

Yes. Balconies that have reached the end of their service life can be removed and replaced with modular balconies. The structures and fixings are surveyed before the design work.

Are the balconies available glazed?

They are. The balconies can be delivered open or ready glazed, and the glazing is designed together with the module as a single set.
